The Iowa Adirondack Company, based in Ankeny, IA was a featured Iowa small business along with several Iowa businesses during the opening day of the 2007 Iowa State Fair on August 9th. The Iowa Department of Economic Development sponsored the day at the Iowa State Fair with the theme "Iowa: Life Changing." The Iowa Adirondack Company was in great company, as state businesses Heinz, Meredith Publishing (Better Homes and Gardens Magazine among other publications), Jolly Time Popcorn and the Iowa Lottery among others were also proudly featured by the State of Iowa that day.

"It was an honor to be invited to be a part of that great day at the Fair," said company owner Jayson Gerth. "Over 70,000 people came by the huge displays and were able to find out more about us and the quality products we can provide them. We are extremely grateful to the Department of Economic Development for choosing us out of so many great Iowa small businesses."

The Iowa Adirondack Company has steadily grown from a single woodworker making custom outdoor furniture out of his home workshop just four years ago to a thriving online business with customers all over the United States and Europe.
