STAINLESS STEEL HARDWARE is used in every piece of cedar we sell.
Why settle for less than the best? While cedar's preservative
oils are great for helping to enhance cedar's life and durability,
it doesn't mix well with certain metals.
Using the wrong screws,
nuts and bolts in cedar will eventually lead to black stains adorning
your beautiful furniture. Even hot-dipped galvanized steel
will eventually give way to the oils and start leaving stains
on the wood (although this type of screw is in the pine furniture we sell, and works very well for that purpose). Some companies charge you extra to provide stainless
steel nuts and bolts as a special add-on, but we don't.
And remember, the furniture we sell will never use glue or nails,
which can eventually loosen or weaken. The furniture we sell uses screws,
nuts and bolts that are sure to last for generations to come.
