    No! Some of our furniture already comes fully assembled, so all you need to do is unwrap it and start enjoying it! The pieces that do require some assembly are quick and easy to complete, from the kits that come with everything you'll need to nearly fully assembled pieces.

  3. How do I place an order?
    We will be happy to take your order directly on our secure website or through Google Checkout. Please do not send your credit card information to us by email because email is not a secure form of communication and it will not encrypt your credit card number.

    You should automatically receive an emailed invoice within minutes of placing your order. This email will also contain all of your order details.   9. How long does it take from the time I place my order until I receive it?
    We use FedEx and UPS to transport all of our goods within North America. Once your order has been picked up, delivery is usually 5-7 business days -- but quite often it is faster. On average, our cedar furnishings will leave the factory the next business day following your order, and our pine furniture leaves the factory 5-7 days following the order date.

    If you have time constraints and you require delivery before a certain day (i.e. if it is for a gift), please contact us to discuss your needs. Often we can ship within 1 day on request.

  10. Can I change the delivery address?
    Yes, as long as your order has not already been sent from our warehouse. Additional charges will apply if the item has already been shipped, no additional charges apply if the order has not yet been shipped. To request a change, please contact us at 1.866.862.3327.

  11. Do I have to be present to receive an item that has been shipped by freight?
    Usually not. If your package is oversized, we will notify you. Someone must be available to sign for the delivery at the scheduled time for oversized packages or shipments (freight deliveries which will be agreed upon between you and the transport company when they call you). Again, this only applies to oversized packages or shipments.

    Shipments that are not oversized do not require anyone to be present.

  12. Will the freight company carry the item into my home or place it in my backyard?
    FedEx will deliver to your door. If your package is delivered by another freight carrier, they are not obligated to deliver to your door. For insurance reasons (of the delivery company), delivery is “to the curb.” The driver is not responsible for carrying the package into your home or backyard. Please arrange for help to move it if needed.

    Alternatively, you may make a separate arrangement with the driver if he is willing.

  13. What maintenance is required for my Iowa Adirondack furniture?
    CEDAR
    It is not absolutely necessary to do anything to maintain your cedar furniture, although if it is treated with stain and brought indoors during the winter the service life of your furniture will be greatly increased. If left untreated and unstained, it will weather to a beautiful silvery gray patina.

    If you choose to order the furniture treated (when available), or decide to stain it yourself, a renewal application of Penofin Oil Finish should be applied every 1.5 - 2 years, depending on your furniture’s condition and exposure to the elements. Sometimes every 3-4 years is sufficient. It is a judgment call on your part how often you want to do it, but at the end of the day it must be done if you wish to retain the new look of it.

    PINE
    Pine furniture will arrive to you fully sanded and ready to finish. Pine furniture must be primed and painted with exterior grade paint (latex works best) to maintain its appearance. Our pine furniture manufacturer will not honor warranty issues arising from furniture that is unpainted/unprotected.

  14. Can I leave the furniture outside all year?
    Our furniture has no problem standing up to the elements. You can leave it outdoors all year round!

    If properly maintained, we expect our furniture to last for decades if left outdoors year after year. If you bring it inside each winter and take good care of it then it could last forever.

  16. What if the package looks damaged when it arrives?
    Please inspect the package for damage BEFORE signing for the delivery. If the package is damaged but the merchandise looks unaffected, note the damage on all delivery receipts before signing. If the package is damaged to an extent that the merchandise is damaged, please refuse delivery and immediately call our Customer Service department at 1.866.862.3327.

  17. What if I have already accepted delivery, but found the item inside damaged after the driver already left?
    If you discover a problem with any part of the item, please call our Customer Service Department at 1.868.862.3327. They may be able to resolve the problem without requiring you to return the item.

    You should always retain all packing material until you’re completely satisfied with the condition and performance of your purchase. That will make it easier to return the item if necessary.
